Microsoft Introduces AI-Powered Copilot for Finance

Intelligence: Microsoft has launched a new AI-powered tool, Microsoft Copilot for Finance, designed to streamline and automate financial processes within organizations.

Specifics:

• Microsoft Copilot for Finance is an AI-enabled feature within Microsoft 365, aimed at helping finance professionals automate and manage their tasks efficiently

• The tool connects with the organization's financial systems, including Dynamics 365 and SAP, to provide automated workflow and data-driven recommendations, simplifying FP&A and audits

• Microsoft Copilot for Finance is now available in public preview

Significance: This represents a step forward in the integration of AI into everyday business operations, particularly within the finance sector. This is on par with Microsoft’s strategy of building a Copilot for EVERYTHING.

📕 LEARN SOMETHING

Start using Anthropic Claude

We learned last week that ChatGPT has formally been dethroned by Anthropic. For example, in the HumanEval test, GPT-4 scored 67% whereas Claude 3 Opus scored 85%.

This is big. Are you using ChatGPT but have a complex nuanced task and it just isn’t giving you the results you want? Time to start using Claude instead. 

Anthropic also released an amazing prompt library, to give you some inspiration. They are also giving all new accounts $5 in free credits to get started.

How to do it:

• Go to Claude AI (note, it’s only available in certain countries right now)

• Go to Anthropic’s prompt library and select what you want to create. I chose the SQL Sorcerer

• Copy the System and User into Claude and start prompting away (similar to ChatGPT)
