Solos Challenges Meta’s Ray-Bans with $299 ChatGPT Smart Glasses
Intelligence: Smart glasses company Solos has launched the AirGo Vision, equipped with OpenAI's GPT-4o AI, directly competing with Meta’s Ray-Ban smart glasses.

The AirGo Vision is priced at $299, matching the cost of Meta’s Ray-Ban eyewear technology. Purchasing options include a frame only for $149, or a camera frame bundled with a regular frame for $349, offering privacy while maintaining capabilities.
Features include visual recognition capabilities that can identify and provide information on people, objects, and text seen through the glasses’ camera.
Users can obtain translations, navigation assistance, and additional context about their surroundings through the integrated AI.
The glasses support other AI models such as Google Gemini and Anthropic’s Claude, highlighting a flexible AI integration strategy.
A notable design aspect is the swappable frame system, allowing users to wear the glasses with or without a camera. It is available in seven colors and two frame styles: Krypton 1 and Krypton 2.
The battery and controls are housed in a USB-C chargeable hinge, providing an option for audio-only use with non-camera frames.

Replit Launches New Assistant to Enhance Software Creation
Intelligence: Replit has officially launched its new assistant alongside enhancements to the Replit Agent, making software development accessible to everyone, regardless of coding experience.

Replit’s mission is to democratize software creation, allowing anyone with an idea to build applications without prior coding knowledge.
The Replit Agent, which transitions out of early access, serves as a tool for end-to-end software creation, enabling users to simply describe their ideas in natural language.
Enhanced capabilities include visual design tools that allow users to input screenshots or URLs for inspiration, which the Agent then uses to create polished applications using React.
The Replit Assistant helps refine existing projects, facilitating efficient iterations and updates without needing users to manually modify code.
Users now have unlimited access to the Agent, with a monthly subscription providing credits for "Agent checkpoints" that denote significant development progress.
