Hello folks,

Happy Friday!

ChatGPT this week brought back the “Browsing” plugin, giving itself super powers of not being limited to 2021 information anymore.

I go through 3 ways you can actually use that to be an intelligent worker.

There was also a phenomenal response from Wednesday’s email on AI and Universal Basic Income - see below to continue the discussion.

We also added in a new section called “🛠️ Tool Snapshots” - quick one-line descriptions of great tools we’ve found that use AI, No-Code, and Automation. Let us know what you think!

Let’s get right into it…

📕 LEARN SOMETHING
ChatGPT and Browsing use-cases

First, you need to have ChatGPT Plus, and enable Browsing.

After that, you can ask ChatGPT anything and it will browse through the internet to find answers for you.

Here are the ways you can use it on your day to be more productive!

1/ Get curated news

Use ChatGPT to get news you really care about, and skip all the ads along the way. For example, I use the following prompt almost every Friday:

“My interests are technology, data, and football. Find and list 5 news stories relevant for me from this week? Provide hyperlinks to each article.”

Here are the results from ChatGPT: (note, ChatGPT still has trouble counting haha).

The best part? It also provides me hyperlinks so I can actually read the article if I want.

I can also ask ChatGPT to summarize each article in a few bullet points (because, of course I can!).

2/ Summarize web links

Because of browsing mode, you can also provide ChatGPT any links you want and have it summarize the information for you,

Here's an example: I provided chatGPT this scientific research article and asked it to explain the causes of dry eye disease in simple language.

Now you don’t need to be a genius to understand scientific articles, and you know the answer you are getting is from a published scientific research paper!

3. Event-planning (no, seriously!)

Since ChatGPT is now connected to the browser, it can find recent events and curate / cater them right to you.

For example, I asked ChatGPT to find events for me this weekend for me and told it I’m travelling to Miami and that I like comedy shows and concerts.

It’s truly amazing - why use Google anymore?

 BIG QUESTION

Should AI be used for "predictive policing" - i.e., using machine learning to identify behaviors, patterns, locations, and groups of people that have a higher probability of crime?

From the last Big Question

Do you support UBI (universal basic income) as a measure to address job displacement from AI?
