NotebookLM Enhances Audio Overviews and Announces Business Version

Intelligence: NotebookLM, a tool for understanding complex information, has updated its Audio Overviews feature and introduced a new business version.

• The updated Audio Overviews feature allows users to guide the conversation by providing instructions on specific topics and adjusting the expertise level.

• Users can now listen to Audio Overviews while working within NotebookLM.

• NotebookLM Business, an enhanced version of the platform for businesses, universities, and organizations, has been announced. It will be offered via Google Workspace.

• A pilot program for NotebookLM Business is now open for applications, offering early access to new product features, training, and email support.

OpenAI Tests ChatGPT Windows App for Subscribers

Intelligence: OpenAI is currently testing a Windows application for its AI-powered chatbot, ChatGPT, exclusively available to paid subscribers.

• The early version of the ChatGPT Windows app can be downloaded from the Microsoft Store.

• Similar to the Mac version, the Windows app provides a dedicated window for interactions with ChatGPT, accessible via the Alt + Space shortcut.

• The app allows users to upload files and photos and includes access to a preview of OpenAI’s o1 model capable of “reasoning”.

• Some features, such as advanced voice mode, are not yet available in the app.

• Though currently only available to ChatGPT Plus, Enterprise, Team, and Edu subscribers, OpenAI plans to make the app available to all users later this year.
