ENTERPRISE DNA PRESENTS

Hello folks,

The big thing today is a startup introducing the worlds first β€œAI software engineer”.

It’s pretty wild. It was able to create several apps (all by itself) and even successfully complete jobs on Upwork. More below.

Also, we’re going to build something that teaches you how to create Gen AI apps with no-code, but need your help.

Let’s get into it.

In this issue:

  • 🀝 In Partnership: Business and tech insights in under 5 minutes with Bay Area Times

  • πŸ“šοΈ Newsletter Updates: Build Gen AI apps with no-code

  • 🀿 Deep Dive: The First AI Software Engineer

What should we build next?

Based on all the results we heard, we are going to be creating the following:

Sprint course / live workshop on how to build amazing Gen AI apps, all with no-code tools

This is very exciting. A few more questions…

Do you want this to be a 1 hour live workshop or 3 hour course?

The First AI Software Engineer

Source: Midjourney

Intelligence: Cognition AI has announced a fully autonomous AI software engineer named "Devin", sparking a significant debate about the future of AI-assisted development.

Specifics:

  • The software can write code, fix bugs, and execute projects, demonstrating its capabilities on an Upwork project.

  • Cognition's CEO, Scott Wu, says Devin operates within a sandboxed compute environment, using developer tools to execute complex engineering tasks based on natural language prompts.

  • Devin's performance outstripped other AI models in the SWE-bench test, resolving 13.86% of cases end-to-end without human assistance.

Significance: Not even SWEs are safe from this displacement. Devin marks a significant shift in the AI industry, potentially paving the way for AI to handle more complex tasks (like computer science) traditionally undertaken by humans

Peter Chen and Covariant Unveil AI Platform RFM-1 for Robots

Source: Covariant

Intelligence: Covariant, an AI startup, has announced the launch of RFM-1, an AI platform aimed at making robots think and respond more like humans.

Specifics:

  • The vision for RFM-1 is to power billions of future robots in various industries, including manufacturing, food processing, recycling, agriculture, service, and even homecare

  • RFM-1 is designed to give robots a human-like ability to reason, allowing them to process real-world data.

  • The new platform is aimed at reducing the need for reprogramming robots when there are changes or new tasks, saving resources and time

Significance: This is a big shift towards more adaptable and versatile robots capable of understanding and performing a variety of tasks without the need for constant reprogramming (I, Robot anyone)?
