Google launches AgentSpace

Hi everyone,

Another behemoth launches an “Agent Studio” type platform. At this point, “agent” is going to be word of the year for 2025 (like “LLMs” or “RAG” were for 2024).

Google launched “Google Agentspace”, which brings together agents and AI search for enterprises into one space - currently being piloted at places like Deloitte.

• With a single branded search agent, Google Agentspace provides conversational assistance, answers to complex questions, and proactive suggestions based on both structured and unstructured data across various sources like Confluence and SharePoint.

• Enterprise employees typically use 4-6 different tools just to gather information needed for their tasks. Google Agentspace seeks to centralize access to these resources.

• The platform includes NotebookLM, which allows employees to synthesize complex information and generate insights through features like audio summaries while maintaining security and privacy.

• The platform supports the development of custom AI agents for specific business functions, enabling automation of workflows and enhancing productivity within departments like marketing, HR, and engineering.

NotebookLM Unveils New Features, Interactive Audio, and Premium Subscription Service

Intelligence: NotebookLM has launched a revamped interface and introduced NotebookLM Plus, a subscription service designed to enhance user experience and expand capabilities for research and content creation.

• The new NotebookLM interface organizes features into three main areas:

  • "Sources" for managing project-related information

  • "Chat" for interactive discussions about those sources, and

  • "Studio" for creating new documents and audio content seamlessly.

• Users can now engage directly with AI hosts during Audio Overviews, asking questions in real time for deeper understanding, akin to a tutoring experience. This voice interaction feature is still experimental and is being rolled out gradually.

• The new premium version offers enhanced features for power users, teams, and enterprises, including:

  - Increased usage limits (over five times the existing limits on Audio Overviews, notebooks, and sources).

  - Customizable notebook responses in terms of style and length.

  - Team collaboration tools with shared notebooks and usage analytics.

  - Enhanced privacy and security protocols suitable for businesses and educational institutions.
