Google Condemned as 'Monopolist' and Loses Antitrust Lawsuit
Intelligence: Google has been declared a monopolist by Federal Judge Amit Mehta, marking a significant ruling in the antitrust lawsuit lodged by the Justice Department and 38 state attorneys general in 2020.
The lawsuit accused Google of illegally maintaining its search engine monopoly through orchestrated business dealings.
Judge Mehta's verdict is based on a 10-week trial and affirmations made in May, concluding that Google's actions were unlawful.
This lawsuit was the first significant antitrust case against a tech company to reach trial in several decades, focusing on the accumulation of power by tech companies.
Significance: This could set a precedent for other ongoing antitrust lawsuits against big tech firms like Amazon, Apple, and Facebook. The implications for the tech industry are substantial, with potential changes in the way tech giants operate and increased opportunities for smaller competitors.

The videos were allegedly used for a range of Nvidia's products, including Omniverse 3D world generator, self-driving car systems, and its Digital Humans avatar generator.
