Google Embraces Anthropic's Model Context Protocol to Enhance AI Integration
Intelligence: In a significant move, Google DeepMind has announced its intention to adopt Anthropic's Model Context Protocol (MCP) for its Gemini models and software development kit (SDK), following OpenAI's recent endorsement of the same standard.

DeepMind's CEO, Demis Hassabis, confirmed the integration of MCP, which facilitates AI models in accessing and utilizing data from various sources effectively.
Hassabis described MCP as a “good protocol” and highlighted its rapid growth as an open standard essential for the evolving AI landscape.
The protocol allows for two-way connections between AI models and data sources, enabling seamless interactions with business tools, software, and app development environments.
Since being open-sourced by Anthropic, several companies, including Block, Apollo, Replit, Codeium, and Sourcegraph, have adopted MCP, indicating growing industry support.
MCP enables developers to create "MCP servers" that expose data and build "MCP clients," which are applications and workflows capable of interacting with these servers in real-time.

Adobe Unveils AI Agents for Enhanced Photo and Video Editing in Photoshop and Premiere Pro
Intelligence: Adobe has announced the development of AI agents for Photoshop and Premiere Pro that will assist users by suggesting and executing edits based on natural language prompts.

The AI will be housed in a floating Actions panel, offering context-aware suggestions for photo edits. It can perform tasks such as removing background people or adjusting depth of field with a single click.
Long-time users who traditionally relied on manual adjustments will benefit from the AI's ability to automate complex tasks, thereby simplifying the editing process.
Users can interact with the AI using natural language, allowing them to learn editing steps while still enabling the AI to execute the tasks independently.
The AI can assist in cleaning up images by listing a series of suggested edits, such as removing background distractions and organizing layers for clarity.
Building on a recently introduced feature, the future agent will analyze video content, helping users locate footage and make rough cuts based on commands.
