⚖️ LLM providers and regulations

🦺 Does AI safety even matter? + 🎲 Alibaba getting into the LLM game

Hi everyone,

Today’s a holiday in most of the Western world, but AI for Work news never stops.

Today, we have LLM providers signing regulatory agreements (i.e., OpenAI needs to let Uncle Sam know when they release a new model for safety checks).

Not sure I agree with that - open-sourced models are already matching or outperforming closed-source LLMs. For example, there’s a new one for Alibaba that matches GPT-4V.

Finally, last chance to check out MIT’s partner course.
