🤿 DEEP DIVE

OpenAI releases text-to-video and breaks the internet

Ok, this is actually one of those mind-blowing moments in the internet that is well deserved.

OpenAI launched Sora, which creates amazing photorealistic videos through text. I can’t begin to describe how insane this is, so I have to show you instead.

Prompt: Reflections in the window of a train traveling through the Tokyo suburbs

A cat waking up its sleeping owner demanding breakfast. The owner tries to ignore the cat, but the cat tries new tactics and finally the owner pulls out a secret stash of treats from under the pillow to hold the cat off a little longer.

Sora is a diffusion model, similar to DALL-E or Stable Diffusion. It starts off with one that looks like static noise and gradually transforms it by removing that noise over many steps.

As of right now, it’s in pre-alpha mode to read-team the model so that it doesn’t produce offensive content. Soon enough though, you’ll be generating videos with Sora.

📕 LEARN SOMETHING

Convert any screenshot to code

There’s a new GPT making the viral rounds. It easily converts any screenshot into HTML / Tailwind / JS code.

It’s called Screenshot To Code GPT, and you do need a ChatGPT Plus subscription to try it.

It also works only on static pages only, which I guess makes sense.

Here’s an example:

I just uploaded the screenshot, and it provides me some HTML code which I can plug in to any IDE. This is what I got out of that, which you can also see here.
