ElevenLabs Launches AI-Powered Sound Effects Generator

Intelligence: Voice cloning startup ElevenLabs has introduced a new AI-powered tool that allows users to generate sound effects by typing in prompts.

• By typing prompts like "waves crashing" or "metal clanging", users can generate sound snippets. The tool can also create instrumental music clips up to 22 seconds long.

• The AI model was trained using Shutterstock's audio library. Users who alpha-tested the tool include video game developers, film producers, and social media content creators.

• The tool was initially announced in February and is now available to all users.

• Free users can generate nearly 60 sound effects per month and must attribute the sound to "elevenlabs.io" in any published content.

Significance:  This development offers a new method for creators to generate sound effects and music clips, potentially transforming gaming, film production, and advertising.
