Microsoft announced CoPilot as being generally available. This means if you have Edge, you can now use Copilot.

📕 LEARN SOMETHING
Use Microsoft Copilot for free

Microsoft Copilot = ChatGPT 4 with context on the web page you are on.

This means you can do a targeted search or ask a question about a webpage you are on.

Here are some ways you can start using it.

1/ Activate Copilot

The first step is to download Microsoft Edge if you don’t already have it. Then, click the Copilot icon on the top right, and click “allow permissions”.

2/ Ask it to summarize a webpage

Since CoPilot is contextually aware of the page you’re on, you can ask it to summarize “this page” for you and it will understand what you mean.

Here’s a prompt I use all the time with news articles.

Summarize this page into 5 short bullet points.

3/ Search for answers

Instead of reading web pages in depth, you can just find the right answer.

Think of it as a “ctrl+f” find function but on steroids.

Here’s an example:
