Sal Khan's Khanmigo AI Tutor Transforms Classroom Learning
Intelligence: Sal Khan, the founder of Khan Academy, has launched a new AI service called Khanmigo, which is being piloted in U.S. schools to assist teachers and enhance student learning.

Developed with OpenAI's technology, Khanmigo is designed to augment classroom teaching by creating personalized lesson plans and providing real-time assistance to students.
Currently being tested in 266 school districts across grades three to twelve, allowing educators to use AI to streamline lesson planning and track student learning.
Teachers, like Melissa Higgason, report saving significant time in lesson preparation, with Khanmigo generating entire lesson plans in minutes, compared to the weeks it would normally take.
Students have access to Khanmigo on their devices, which engages them with targeted questions and encourages deeper understanding rather than just rote answers.

ElevenLabs’ AI Voice Technology Linked to Russian Influence Operations
Intelligence: A recent report indicates that ElevenLabs' AI voice generation technology was "very likely" used in a Russian campaign aimed at undermining support for Ukraine, illustrating the potential for generative AI to be misused in state-sponsored influence operations.

Dubbed “Operation Undercut,” the campaign allegedly utilized AI-generated voiceovers in misleading videos that targeted European audiences, aiming to cast doubt on Ukrainian politicians and military support from the West.
Recorded Future’s investigation concluded that ElevenLabs' voice generation technology was used to create audio for these videos, which presented a polished and credible sound without identifiable foreign accents.
The AI technology allowed the rapid production of misleading content in various European languages, enhancing the campaign's reach and effectiveness.
Some videos released had human voiceovers that displayed a noticeable Russian accent, highlighting the effectiveness of AI-generated voices in enhancing perceived legitimacy.
The campaign was linked to the Social Design Agency, a Russian organization previously sanctioned by the U.S. government for operating deceptive news sites.
