How does it work? It transcribes the video and sends that transcript to GPT to summarize into 8 key points, keeping track of video timestamps.

This has been a complete game-changer for me - I use this all the time.

I can now take a 1 hour YouTube video and within seconds I can:

• Quickly see the key points of the video (helpful to see if the video is worth watching)

• Go to the timestamped summary and jump to the part I care about!

PodShorty enables you to power through YouTube with AI summaries.

What makes this different?

• It creates voiceover summaries instead of text

• These are very detailed summaries instead of “key insights” - for example, it created a 34min summary from a 2.5 hour video

“““AI skills"““ - what does even mean nowadays?

We’ve gotten so many reports over the last month on how AI will change the future of work:

• Singapore adopting AI skills the fastest out of any other country

• AI skills - the new job advantage

• Workers will need “AI skills” to avoid being replaced

But what are AI skills? Previously, it was reserved for the likes of data scientists and machine learning engineers that predict customer behavior, automate repetitive tasks, or design innovative algorithms.

But as AI becomes increasingly integrated into our daily lives and workplaces, the definition of “AI skills” has expanded to include:

• Human-AI Collaboration: This includes skills like overseeing AI operations, interpreting AI-driven insights, and making strategic decisions based on those insights.

• AI Awareness and Curiosity: Even for those not directly working on AI, understanding its potential and limitations and staying curious about its developments can be beneficial.
